Privacy notice

Last updated September 4, 2026

Parkly is operated by an independent parking-lot striping contractor ("we", "us") based in Québec, Canada. This notice explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Québec's Law 25.

What we collect

When you sign up, we store your email address and optional display name. When you submit a parking lot, we keep the address, any photos you upload, and the geometry you draw. Your saved projects also include timestamps of changes so you can restore earlier versions.

Why we collect it

We use your email to let you sign in, send quote links, and contact you about projects you've submitted. Lot photos and geometry are used only to produce a quote and, once approved, to dispatch the work crew.

Where it lives

Accounts and submitted projects are stored with Supabase (PostgreSQL + object storage) in a Canadian data region when available. Drafts you haven't submitted live only in your browser's local storage and never reach our servers. Payments, once a paid plan is active, are handled by our payment provider (Stripe); Parkly stores no credit-card information of any kind.

Who sees it

Only the contractor workspace that created the project and its authorised crew members. We do not sell or share personal information with advertisers.

How long we keep it

We keep project and account data while your account is active and up to 24 months after you close it, for legal and bookkeeping purposes. Photos can be deleted on request at any time.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@goparkly.ca with your request and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're unhappy with our response you may complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Supabase stores data encrypted at rest. Signed URLs protect uploaded photos from being downloaded by anyone without a current share link.

Changes

We'll update the date at the top of this page when material changes are made. Continuing to use Parkly after an update means you accept the updated notice.
